Acai Berry Capsules VS Acai Liquid Drink

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

Acai berry capsules are just one variation of many different forms of the popular berry. Acai is a small purplelish colored berry similar in size to a grape.

Acai berries are harvested from a palm tree that grows in Brazil and has been used by the Brazilians for centuries. However, due to its perishable nature, acai berries are not routinely shipped around the globe.

As a result, consumers in regions outside of Brazil often have to choose between acai capsules or supplements, acai pulp, or acai in the form of some kind of liquid drink. There are benefits to each form of acai but the capsules have been picking up a lot of steam lately. This has a great deal to due with the fact that they are easier to ship and last longer.

In addition, consumers tend to like acai berry capsules because they are easily transported to work or the gym and you don’t have to worry about carrying a liquid around with you. Another common issue with some of the liquid drinks is a strong after taste that some people don’t like.
